KAPANA POSSIBLE

Kapana Possible” is a research project, initiated by ONE and ONE ARCHITECTURE WEEK 2014. The aim of the project is to identify the potential of one historical environment (Kapana neighborhood in Plovdiv) and to outline a realistic scenario for turning it into a creative district.

The project team invites Plovdiv and the guests of the European Capital of Culture 2019 to learn more about Kapana and about the suggestions for the future development of the neighborhood.

“Kapana Possible” combines the efforts of students of architecture, urban planning, urban analysis and social anthropology from UACEG, SU “St. Kliment Ohridski” and PU “Paisiy Hilendarski” in partnership with MF “Plovdiv 2019”.

They have all been working for almost one whole year for transforming this deteriorated but attractive district into an active part of the modern city.

During ONE DESIGN WEEK 2014 (20-29 June) four graphic designers – – Kiril Zlatkov, Vasil Iliev, Elia Nedkov and Post Studio – presented posters, inspired by the so far obtained results of the project.
